WWE Superstar Matt Hardy has been missing from our television screen for quite some time now. However, the former United States Champion remains active on social media and he recently provided an update regarding his return to the promotion.
Matt Hardy was not drafted to either of RAW, NXT or SmackDown during the latest WWE Draft in October but he clarified that he is still under contract with the promotion. While responding to a fan, Hardy also stated that he is motivated and working on his grand return to the main roster.
Yes, I am being proactive & showing initiative on where I want my career to go. I’m not waiting on someone else to create something for me, I'm taking control of my own destiny.

Matt Hardy's recent WWE run

Earlier this year, Matt and Jeff Hardy defeated The Usos to win the SmackDown Tag Team Championship but their reign didn't last long. Owing to Jeff Hardy's injury at the hands of Lars Sullivan, The Hardy Boys were left with no other option but to vacate the titles in May. The next month, Matt wrestled at WWE Super Showdown in a 51-man battle royal but rarely made an on-screen appearance following that.
Hardy has been working on some live events as of late and also portraying a new persona with his "You don't understand how difficult it is to be Matt Hardy" videos. Hopefully, all these come together and we get to see him return to RAW or SmackDown very soon.
